25' Pontoon Rental

Our 25’ pontoons are custom-designed and crafted based on 29 years of pontoon rental experience. They are safety inspected and Coast Guard approved! All boats come equipped with marine radios, privacy chambers featuring our custom-made “Yooper Pooper” port-a-potty, and are fully wheelchair accessible. The wrap-around layout offers comfortable seating for up to eight guests with plenty of space for coolers and dry storage under each seat. They are powered by 50hp motors that have been optimized for your boat.

AVERAGE FUEL USAGE:
Half Day = 8-10 gallons
Full Day = 12-15 gallons

CANCELATION POLICY:
Cancelations made prior to seven (7) days before departure = $25 + 10% of rental fee
Cancelations made within seven (7) days of departure = No refunds

Cancelations or reservation changes must be made by contacting us either by email or phone.

Inclement Weather or any other cancelations made by management will be rescheduled or refunded in full.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY:
All our docks and boats are fully wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in the notes if you will be bringing a wheelchair.

PETS:
Dogs are welcome, but please keep the capacity limits in mind if they are large. We also ask that they are well-brushed and that you are mindful of their nails on the
upholstery.

KAYAKS, PADDLE BOARDS, TUBES:
Kayaks or Paddle Boards of any type are not allowed on the pontoons. You may bring items such as inflatable rafts or tubes, but you may not tow or pull anything while the pontoon is in motion.

FUEL:
Your boat is sent out with a full tank of fuel, and the gallons used during your trip is determined and charged upon return. Driving at a steady speed and average pace is the best way to maximize your fuel usage. We do not allow the pontoons to be re-fueled by anyone but us. In the unlikely event that you run out of fuel while on the lake, we will come to you.

RENTER AGE:
We require our renters to be at least 21 years old, and have experience operating a boat.

The state of Michigan requires anyone born after June 30, 1996 to have a boaters safety card.

Additional terms and conditions are listed in the policy you’ll agree to when you make your reservation.

Morning rentals can arrive anytime after 8:15 AM
Full Day rentals can arrive anytime after 9:15 AM

CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations and date changes made prior to seven (7) days before your pickup date will incur a $25 plus 10% of your rental fee. If you cancel with seven (7) days or less until your pick-up date, you forfeit your entire deposit/rental rate. Any cancellations made by management will be refunded in full. If you reschedule your original rental date you forfeit your refund in the event you cancel.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANT POLICY:  When you pick up the boat, it is your responsibility to notify the dock attendant of the maximum number of occupants that will be on the boat at any point during the rental. This includes children under 30 lbs., 30-50 lb. children, and children under the age of 14, so that we can get you the appropriate life vests. You may not exceed the rated capacity of the boat. This overloading of the boat will cause performance issues and may lead to you receiving a ticket and fine from DNR.

LIFE JACKET POLICY: Children under the age of six (6) must wear their life jacket at all times while the boat is under way. Renter-provided life jackets must be USCG-approved Type I or II. Child life jacket sizes are #1 (30lbs. and under), #2 (30lbs. to 50lbs.), and #3 (50lbs. to 90lbs.). Children over 90lbs. will wear an adult-size life jacket. We have USCG-approved life jackets available for all sizes.

PROVIDED EQUIPMENT: This rental boat is equipped with items required for the operation and safety of its use. These items include: fire extinguisher, flare kit, anchor, dock lines, gas tanks, splash guard, door latch, door stopper, bimini top, bimini boot, boarding ladder, and life jackets. Your dock attendant will confirm these items are present and in good condition during the pre-launch and return inspections.

DAMAGE POLICY:  You are responsible for any damage that occurs while the boat is in your possession. All boats are inspected by both the dock attendant and renter at launch time and upon return. A checklist of inspection points will be reviewed and agreed upon by both parties. In the event damage or suspected mechanical issues occur while out on the lake, you must stop driving the rental boat and notify us immediately. Continuing to drive the boat can cause more extensive damage.

FUEL POLICY:  The boats are sent out with a full tank of fuel. All rental boats will be filled upon return to Seaberg Pontoon Rentals at the cost of the renter. Any mid-rental fuel needs are required to be filled at Seaberg Pontoon Rentals. Using fuel from land gas stations is not permitted and will cause damage to the engine. Typical gas usage for a half day is: 8-10 gal. for small and medium pontoons, and 10-12 gal. for a large tritoon. Typical gas usage for a full day is: 12-15 gal. for small and medium pontoons, and 17-20 gal. for a large tritoon. Upon return from your trip, you must stop in the office to check out your boat. If you do not check out your boat, a gratuity equaling 20% of your rental fee will be added to your fuel use cost and charged to the card on file.

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION POLICY:  It is your responsibility to make sure that the boat is loaded properly. This means evenly distributing the weight on the boat between the bow (front) and the stern (back) and port side (left) and starboard side (right).

PET POLICY: We allow pets on board the rental boats, but you could be charged a cleaning fee if the boat is returned dirty (i.e. pet hair in the vessel). There is also an increased likelihood of damage (i.e. pet nails may tear the vinyl seats on the boats). To avoid this, please place a towel or something similar on the seats, or have the animals remain on the floor.

KAYAK, PADDLE BOARD, TUBE POLICY: We do not allow kayaks or paddle boards of any type on the pontoons. You may bring items such as inflatable rafts or tubes, but you may not tow or pull anything while the pontoon is in motion.

ANCHOR POLICY: Our rental boats are equipped with anchors. The anchors are kept in a storage unit mounted on the front of the boat. After each use of the anchor, you must return it to the proper storage unit before continuing on your way. Do not leave the anchor on the bow (front) of the boat while in motion. It is very likely you will hit a wave or a wake that will knock the anchor overboard which can cause damage to the prop or worse.

GENERAL NAVIGATION RULES:  A general rule of thumb is to keep 100 feet from everything (docks, other boats, etc.) while underway. The boundaries within which you are allowed to take the rental pontoon are: Wood Island to the west from the dock, Spray Falls to the east from the dock, around the entirety of Grand Island, and no more than one (1) mile offshore at any given point. A map displaying the boundary area as well as other points of interest is available in the rental office. While driving the pontoon, you must be respectful of kayaks and other smaller vessels in the area. Be mindful of your speed when in proximity to kayaks and smaller vessels so that you don’t create a wake or a wave behind the boat. Upon return of your rental boat, approach the dock at a slow speed and watch for a dock attendant to guide you in. There may likely be boats coming in ahead of you. Slow your speed to an idle and slowly make your way toward the dock in turn.

LATE FEE POLICY:  You will be given a return time when you are checked into your boat. It is imperative to return your rental boat on time so as to be respectful of the next reservation and/or our staff being able to finish their shift on time. If you do not return by your agreed-upon time, you will be charged a late fee of $250 per half hour. Early returns are not eligible for any refunds. In the case that we call the boats back in due to unexpected inclement weather, you will be refunded at a pro-rated rate.

EXPERIENCE DISCLAIMER:  All drivers listed on this contract have prior experience driving a pontoon and are confident in their ability to safely operate the rental boat. Additionally, listed drivers agree to listen to and adhere to the instructions given by the dock attendant at the time of launch.

SAFE DRIVER POLICY: All drivers listed on this contract agree not to operate the rental boat under the influence of any drug or alcohol and to abide by all state and federal laws.

Early returns will not result in a refund.
